The Gender Unicorn

“The Gender Unicorn is a helpful framework to understand the sexual identity spectrum and to establish a common language around gender identity, gender expression, biological sex, and sexual orientation” Ashcraft & Murray 2017). It is a visual tool that can be used when talking to your children about sexual orientation. I personally like The Gender Unicorn because it takes into consideration that sexuality is much more than what a person looks like on the outside.
